Corgi Ford Mk2 Escort RS2000 Merseyside Police VA14904

The Ford Escort RS2000 modelled entered service with Merseyside Police in January 1981 and was based at Smithdown Lane Police Station. These compact, but powerful and speedy cars were needed in the battle against vehicle crime. They were ideal as they could be used in pursuits but also perform more mundane duties successfully. Their fleet of over 25 RS2000s fitted the bill perfectly.
