The RTM Routemasters arrived on route 88 in July 1966. In April 1974 RM1359 emerged from the Garage in a very bright, ‘Boulogne – The motorway to Europe’ advertising scheme that promoted travel to France. It was one of four advert buses that entered service that year. The bus actually visited Boulogne courtesy of a Chiswick Works outing in May 1974.
