Steiff Little Felt Elephant Wool Felt 29cm 006173

It all started with a little elephant pin cushion 140 years ago this year. So to commemorate the occasion comes this Little Felt Elephant. However he isn't so little! He actually stands 29cm tall, nearly a ruler!!

Made of white wool felt this stunning elephant is decorated with a removable saddlecloth which is attached by hand with 14 black pins that match the elephant’s glass bead eyes. The blue and yellow saddlecloth bears the initials “AS”, a testiment to the fact that Anna Steiff received the very first “Elefäntle” as a gift from her sister-in-law Margarete.

Limited to 1880 pieces, Little Felt Elephant wears a gold-plated "Button in Ear" with elephant motif and comes in his own 140th Anniversary Steiff box with limited edition certificate.
